<How to survive from natural disasters in India.>
On April 26, 2015, (April 25, in Korea) There were a destructive earthquake in Nepal. A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.8 shook Kathmandu in Nepal. Nepal-Bihar happened in 1934 was the most powerful earthquake since Nepal-Kathmandu earthquake. Because of this earthquake, at least 6,000 people were killed and 16,000 people were injured only in Nepal. Nepal has frontiers with other countries including India. In india, 76 people were killed. India was damaged a lot. Do you think India will be safe from natural disasters? Today, I want to write about kinds of india's natural disasters and how to survival when there are natural disasters.
Before knowing the natural disaster response procedures, we have to know what kinds of natural disasters were happened in India. In india, there were many kinds of natural disasters every year in India - floods, earthquake, cyclone, drought, landslides etc. Earthquake occurs 45%, floods occurs 30% and cyclone(a violent tropical storm in which the air goes round and round) occurs 15%. India is located in the point where the Indian plate and the Eurasian is met. That is why Earthquake is happened many times. The reason of floods is absence of facilities for damage prevention. In india, there don't have dam near the big river, mostly. So when there are heavy rain, nothing can control the river. Cyclone is happened for reducing the temperature of equator. So, the reason of cyclone is for geographical reason.
Usually, earthquake, floods and cyclone are happened in India. So we have to know the natural disaster response procedures. First, when an earthquake hits, if you are in the building, you should stay in the building. And you should stay away from walls, crouch down and cover your heads. Second, in case of floods, you have to evacuate to higher ground. And you shouldn't drive in flooding area. Finally, in case of cyclone, if you are in the home, you must hide under heavy furniture in the middle of the home.
Today, I wrote about two things related to natural disasters. First, kinds of natural disasters were happened in India - earthquake, floods, cyclone etc. Second, how to survive in case of natural disasters usually happened in India. Natural disasters is gradually happened frequently. Especially in India, the damages of natural disasters is huge and hard to restore again. For protecting from natural disasters, it is important knowing it beforehand. Let's prepare for surviving from natural disaster in India!
